We are hiring – Outdoor and Environmental Education Tutor

Salary: Grade 6 (£24,657 – £29,055) pro rata.
Contract Type: Permanent.
Hours Per Week: 22.12.
Closing Date: 24 October 2018.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the core instructor team here from January 2019.

You’ll work a regular pattern of Monday – Wednesday each week to complement the existing team, with the opportunity for some Thursday and Friday work at busy times.

You should have a passion for outdoor learning, backed with experience leading outdoor education activities and a good range of qualifications for leading the outdoor education activities that we offer.

The main part of role will be to deliver high quality outdoor education experiences to a range of different groups at our centre, in various venues across the Peak District and on occasion at schools. Activities that the centre delivers include climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, high ropes courses, caving/mine exploration, problem solving, abseiling, hillwalking and bushcraft.

You’ll require a clear understanding of the role that outdoor learning has in the development of young people and the ability to articulate this to schools and other user groups.
