Facility Improvements
We are always striving to improve and have been busy working on the facilities we offer to make staying here more comfortable and enjoyable. Whilst it’s great to have a number of large buildings and an extensive site it certainly takes some maintaining and can be complicated to improve – especially within the confines of a conservation area
We are all set for our market place stand and to deliver a bouldering workshop for the Derbyshire County Council Learning Outside the Classroom conference tomorrow. If you are attending be sure to say hi!
Teepee Village
We have been putting the Teepee Village back together after the winter season!  We are even trialling some new ground matting for more comfort…come and try them yourselves!
We are very much looking forward to having a stand at the Geographical Association conference on Friday and Saturday. If you are going come and have a chat to see what our beautiful Peak District location and years of experience in outdoor and environmental education can offer your group!  Plus we have an exclusive competition…
We are running InsideOut bouldering courses with the Climbing Works and the BMC throughout the year. The first course for anyone new to outdoor bouldering is the InsideOut Introduction which takes place at Burbage South, just 20 minutes drive from The Climbing Works. Participants will get to ‘grips’ with Peak Gritstone, learn safety and environmental
Sheffield Schools Bouldering Competition
We have had a fantastic day at the Mini Works working with the Climbing Works and Links School Sport Partnership on the finals of the primary and secondary bouldering competitions for Sheffield schools.  The aim of the annual competition is to provide a day for Sheffield school children to experience a new activity in a fun and friendly environment

Mountain Training Climbing Awards Review
Mountain Training are inviting you to give your opinion on their current administered climbing coaching awards in the hope that it will: Gain feedback on the content and scope of the awards. Identify the pathway of development for climbing instructors. Gain greater understanding on the use of the awards. Identify the challenges faced by climbing instructors in Mountain
Bespoke CPD for School Staff
We ran a few very successful OEAP Outdoor Learning Cards courses this March for Sheffield School staff. Look at how enthusiastic they look- ready for the orienteering and den building section of our 3rd course. Get in touch if you are interested in getting these fantastic resources in to your school to encourage learning outside the classroom
